Marilyn Aniwa is an International Development Specialist with nearly 30 years of experience in governance, evaluation, population studies, and capacity building. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Population and Development (ISS, The Hague), an MA in Population Studies, and a BA in Archaeology and History from the University of Ghana.
She is currently Lead, Evaluations at the Mastercard Foundation. Her previous roles include Coordinator at PIAC, Executive Director of UAPS, In-Country Coordinator at the Parliamentary Centre of Canada, Development Officer with CIDA, Assistant Director at the British Council, and Lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
Ms. Aniwa has led major international development projects and supported parliamentary capacity-building across several African countries. She has also held significant board roles, including Board Chair of ActionAid Ghana (2011–2019) and international representative on the ActionAid UK Board. She serves on several governance and gender-focused boards and is a member of IDEAS, the Ghana M&E Forum, IUSSP, and UAPS.
