This case study highlights how the analysis on sector financial flows over the long term have led to better understanding and action on sector funding and financing levels. The WASH Accounts methodology, developed by WHO/GLAAS to track financial flows in the WASH sector, demonstrates financial trends and highlights gaps in funding, which would otherwise not be evident from service level data alone.
This brief case study was written for the 2025 SWA Sector Ministers' Meeting held in Madrid, 22-23 October.
